Studio Visit: Shellie Christian

Shellie Christian is a Central Coast sculptor and ceramicist, expressing her life and soul connection with the land through earth-inspired forms.

Based in Fountaindale on Darkinyung land, she expresses her interpretation of land, life and nature through drawing and mark-making. and While mark-making shows up in her ceramics, her love for the birds and wildlife of Australia are ever-present in her sculptures. From her bushland-surrounded studio, she invites you to walk with her to discover all that beckons.

“From the moment I first held clay, I haven’t stopped experimenting, learning and discovering. The excitement of how it responds to my touch and the movement I can obtain from it are magnetic for me.” – Shellie Christian.
