Studio Visit: Natasha Pandji

Flowers grow and wither away quietly, all within their own accord. They never seek permission to bloom. And in this process, Natasha Pandji finds comfort and wisdom.

Born in Indonesia, she grew up in Australia on her own during her formative years, with Art becoming her place of solace. Her studio is located on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung in the Kulin Nation of south-central Victoria.

“My studio enables me to steal moments of contemplation after a long day. Near the window is a deciduous maple, my neighbours’ bottlebrush, eucalyptus and camellia trees. My studio overlooks a hill, so at a distance I can see the city.” – Natasha Pandji.
