Rhonda Crawford’s studio is a family affair. Complete with a swing seat and unique lights, the space was created by the people closest to her, giving the artist an eclectic, happy place to paint from.
Situated at the back of the emporium gallery in the seaside town of Ōpunake Taranaki, New Zealand, the studio is embraced by lush greenery and bright flowers in vines and pots – a delightful source of inspiration for the meticulous detail in Crawford’s rich and majestic floral gardenscapes. Rhonda Crawford’s paintings show in a group exhibition at Artselect Gallery, Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand from 19 March to 27 April, 2024.
/ I love to connect with nature, giving a close-up experience of what is all around us. Painting is like breathing. I put my heart and soul into each unique piece. Appreciating and celebrating nature’s cycle. Nature is timeless. /
