Studio Visit: Liselle Powell

Perth/Boorloo-based painter Liselle Powell paints landscapes in acrylic, oil sticks and pastel to hold onto memories of place. Powell has studied a Bachelors in Visual Arts and Design; a Bachelors in Linguistics; Makeup; and Graphic design. In 2022 she won the national ArttoArt Unearthed Art prize in Melbourne.

“My studio is part of an open plan space in our home. My three children are small, so this allows me to work with them playing beside me. My studio is very much a part of our home – my kids will grow up seeing the creative process as part of everyday life, not something reserved for special times.”
