It has only been recently, however, that he learnt art does not need to be confined to outlines and pretty gradients. For approximately five years he has continued to paint with this new perspective, throwing paint at the walls, and tutoring at Corban Estate Arts Centre.
“My studio comprises my room: half bed, half paint. I believe I only truly began painting once I witnessed Jean Michel Basquiat’s work. The raw, rigid, aggressiveness of his art instantly inspired a need in me to similarly create.”
