Peach & Pistachio Parfait. Mixed media, 107 x 107cm.

KERRY-ANNE BLANKET

KAB Gallery, Terrigal

As the title suggests, this work is intended to decorate rather than create a further narrative. Like a peach and pistachio parfait this is a light, bright and tantalising work which delights and enchants the viewer. The pops of deep red and purple perfectly complement the greens and overarching creams to really make this a versatile piece well suited to various interior styles. The luscious strokes of paint add another dimension to this work, providing a wonderful call-back to a rich parfait named in the title.

This work would be a beautiful addition to a bedroom or loungeroom and would pick up on existing colours within an interior whilst the whites would lift the room. I love the textural quality and the layered effect of the petals.

JERICO TRACY

Jerico Contemporary, Sydney

You can introduce colour to your home in so many different ways, but one strong piece of art like this will make an impact. The palette of this painterly floral work is vibrant and playful without being loud
