Art Mood: Dwayne Hutton

Meet Melbourne-based interior designer, stylist and trend forecaster Bree Leech – this issue’s guest Art Mood designer.

Dwayne Hutton’s vivid colour combinations and almost hidden colour accents drew me in. In turn I wanted to draw out those colour references, such as the bold blue and plum, by including them in décor accents. I created an interior with a past; imperfect plaster walls and classic trims, to contrast against the modernity of the work. The furniture is simple and bold in form to allow the movement and detail in the space to come from the artwork. “
