Designer’s Brief: Heidi Savage

We invite a designer to create a room to best display each of the four artworks we’ve selected. This issue, industry-leading interior designer Greg Natale takes up the challenge.

“A grand home needs a grand entrance, which is exactly where I envision Spring Flowers, Bath Street by Heidi Savage. I’ve selected the Cassina Bramante cabinet in this incredible lacquered finish to match the playful elegance this painting exudes. The colours have an almost firework-like effect across the canvas, which my Debbie vase with its sparkling gold studs speaks to, especially on the Cassina console next to my Soleil candle. And much like art is essential in creating a sense of grandeur in an entrance, so, too, is a chandelier. This vintage Poliedri design Murano glass chandelier in warm amber helps to make the colours pop even more. And though these pieces are bold, the painting ties them together so they aren’t competing in the space.”
