BRETT MICKAN

Although more graphic than realist, there is definite life and personality to the subject. I would love to see this in a traditionally-furnished sitting room of a grand country estate. This piece would define the room as contemporary and add a sense of humour to what could be a stuffy space.

SUZANNE GORMAN

As a dog owner myself this work screams “Breakfast time!”. The Dalmatian’s somewhat contained excitement is incredibly playful and joyous. Hanging on a brick wall would real- ly bring this black and white pup to life!

Pet portraits tug at the heart strings and somehow seem just as personal as a human portrait. The Dalmatian’s gold background elevates the stature and sharpens the image.
