Art Mood: Mirella Prolongeau

Meet Melbourne-based interior designer, stylist and trend forecaster Bree Leech – this issue’s guest Art Mood designer.

Mirella Prolongeau’s work is inspired by nature, so I wanted the interior to also reflect this with organic texture and depth. I imagined a family home near the ocean, surrounded by the trees and ancient rocks she describes in her inspiration. I wanted the room to feel comfortable like an old family home, with vintage furniture alongside more modern pieces, with the artwork providing the highlight in the space with its azure water and warm sun-drenched rocks sparking fond memories.
