Paperbark layers and Paperbark princess, two striking works once combined into a single whole, are ones that retain their individuality in spite of their two-piece quality. It is for this reason that I wanted to place this artwork in the dining area, a part of the home where we are often with others — individuals but still together. In this way, Liz Corkhill Knight tells an interesting story, speaking to the beauty of togetherness, and the heart and strength in the act of separation.
