Perth-based artist Adrianna Wasinska- Fabian uses a shadowy palette to convey the wonderfully strange corners of nature, often dipping in and out of abstraction to great effect. Whether she is peering into the undergrowth, observing the knots and whorls of trees, or depicting the graceful dynamism of horses – one of her great loves and constant muses – the artist pulls from the darkness striking and otherworldly imagery.
Since graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland, Wasinska-Fabian has settled in Lake Coogee, but has kept her sights on the international stage. The artist has exhibited in solo and group presentations across Australia and Europe, and has been recognised in several art prizes both locally and abroad. Having exhibited in the OSTEN Biennial of Drawing 2020 hosted by the National
Gallery of Noth Macedonia in Skopje, drawings by the artist were acquired by the gallery in 2021. Wasinska-Fabian is currently represented by Amsterdam’s Paard Verzameld Collective.
