Lauren Downton uses her practice to investigate the ephemeral nature of life, exploring themes of death, decay, regeneration and sustainability through nature-based metaphors. She creates hybrid porcelain assemblages to engage audiences in considering alternate future worlds. Downton recently completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Art at the University of South Australia, Adelaide.
