Graduate of a Bachelor of Fine Arts at National Art School, Sydney, Alichia van Rhijn catalogues her experience of displacement, memory and trauma through material investigation. South African-born, van Rhijn creates anthropomorphic forms that float between reality and fantasy to elicit a sense of play within a context of pain.
