Michael Lye works across both digital and traditional mediums to discuss issues of race, philosophy and scientific exploration. Through the use of playfully abstract and minimalistic formations, Lye constructs either blissfully colourful or grotesquely visceral works. He builds upon his own position as a multi-race artist to discuss the stereotypes towards minority groups, while also focussing on generational displacement and its consequential environmental impacts.
