Artist statement:
This work, made in the aftermath of a death, is that fierce grip of the ephemeral beauty of life and the evasion of fleeting memories. Here, in this murky mire I linger between grief, remembrance, and a changed future.
The grief that comes from the earthly reality of a life’s end tears apart the incorporeal self. A catalyst of disruption shaping and changing future paths. The botanical circlet dates back millennia, symbolising peace, honour and power, while the ironbark reflects an iron will, beauty, strength, and connection to place. Eddie, as his name suggested, was our guardian and a wealth of love. Soaring above and shielding beneath is a spectrograph (sound-wave analysis) of the title spoken in Latin.

When you have purchased an artwork through the Art Edit online shop, we contact the artist with your address details and organise delivery. The artist will endeavour to have your item shipped within 3-5 working days. We will contact you if there are any unforeseen delays.

CAN YOU DELIVER TO A P.O. BOX?
We are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box. Please ensure that you specify a valid residential or business address during check out.
DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME FOR DELIVERY?
Yes. All artwork deliveries take place during business hours between Monday and Friday. It is necessary for someone to be available to accept the delivery. Our carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, placement, or removal of packaging.
CAN I RETURN AN ARTWORK IF I DON’T LIKE IT?
We offer a 7-day free returns policy on artworks if you change your mind. Within this period, you can return the artwork to us for an exchange or full refund. You must email us within 7 days of receiving your artwork stating that you wish you return the artwork and we will organise a return with the associated freight provider. We must receive the artwork back in the same condition you received it in order to receive a refund or exchange.
WHAT IF DAMAGE OCCURS DURING SHIPPING?
In the very rare case of damage occurring during artwork delivery, please contact us at website@artedit.com.au as soon as you can. If the work is returned to the artist within 7 days we can arrange a refund or, if it is one of a series, replace it.
