Artist statement:
“Hot Sugar” is apart of Courtney Watson’s “Supermarket” series. This work and the rest of the series primarily focuses on colour-ways and textures in the fashion and cosmetic world, contrasting them with the sensual and tactile surfaces of foods. Within the series, Watson contrasts bright hues which clash with one another, in much the same way as her subjects do – where seemingly unrelated objects are juxtaposed with one another to bring forth new meanings. For Watson, food and its packaging are abstracted and confounded in order to act as a vehicle to confront her experience as a woman.

CAN YOU DELIVER TO A P.O. BOX?
We are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box. Please ensure that you specify a valid residential or business address during check out.
DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME FOR DELIVERY?
Yes. All artwork deliveries take place during business hours between Monday and Friday. It is necessary for someone to be available to accept the delivery. Our carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, placement, or removal of packaging.
CAN I RETURN AN ARTWORK IF I DON’T LIKE IT?
We offer a 7-day free returns policy on artworks if you change your mind. Within this period, you can return the artwork to us for an exchange or full refund. You must email us within 7 days of receiving your artwork stating that you wish you return the artwork and we will organise a return with the associated freight provider. We must receive the artwork back in the same condition you received it in order to receive a refund or exchange.
WHAT IF DAMAGE OCCURS DURING SHIPPING?
In the very rare case of damage occurring during artwork delivery, please contact us at website@artedit.com.au as soon as you can. If the work is returned to the artist within 7 days we can arrange a refund or, if it is one of a series, replace it.
