About the artwork:
Kerry draws inspiration for her work from her own life and popular culture. When she came across this image she was struck by all the backlit hair, and the reflections from the eyebrows up. Kerry painted in the resemblance of a “superwoman” kind of emblem on her chest as overall she wanted the painting to inspire strength and presence. The resultant painting’s bold colours and theme will certainly lift any room and make its presence a centrepiece.
Named after one of Kerry’s favourite songs, Alicia Key’s “Superwoman”, Kerry painted this as an empowerment piece and reminder that better days are coming.

Kerry thinks we all need that reminder from time to time.
The canvas is covered in Japanese Rice Paper to give a lovely texture that is akin to the movement on the surface of water. And, as with most of Kerry’s paintings, she has painted in layers. The background using action painting (expressionistic) techniques – pouring, dripping, splashing paint and involving my body in the painting process rather than just the paint brush. The figure was created using contemporary art pop art techniques and stencils, and a further layer of hand painting brought the foreground and background together. Kerry’s palette is colourful and uses strong contrasts to capture a mood of strength.

We are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box. Please ensure that you specify a valid residential or business address during check out.
DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME FOR DELIVERY?
Yes. All artwork deliveries take place during business hours between Monday and Friday. It is necessary for someone to be available to accept the delivery. Our carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, placement, or removal of packaging.
CAN I RETURN AN ARTWORK IF I DON’T LIKE IT?
We offer a 7-day free returns policy on artworks if you change your mind. Within this period, you can return the artwork to us for an exchange or full refund. You must email us within 7 days of receiving your artwork stating that you wish you return the artwork and we will organise a return with the associated freight provider. We must receive the artwork back in the same condition you received it in order to receive a refund or exchange.
WHAT IF DAMAGE OCCURS DURING SHIPPING?
In the very rare case of damage occurring during artwork delivery, please contact us at website@artedit.com.au as soon as you can. If the work is returned to the artist within 7 days we can arrange a refund or, if it is one of a series, replace it.
