About the artwork:
In 2021, I set up a studio in the seaside town of Corinella, to work on The Laws of Nature – my latest collection of paintings. I was working with personal reflections on solitude and yearning during the extended lockdowns in Melbourne when I discovered the Casuarina trees huddling along the clifftops along the coast.
The trees seemed to speak to me, sharing knowledge of devotion and unswerving loyalty to nature, the creator. They became the perfect muse, evoking feelings of vulnerability and betrayal, yet maintaining a sense of dignity and stoic strength.
I read Romantic poets, such as Ella Wheeler Wilcox, Lord Byron and Walter De La Mare; inspired by the emotional power of their words.

When you have purchased an artwork through the Art Edit online shop, we contact the artist with your address details and organise delivery. The artist will endeavour to have your item shipped within 3-5 working days. We will contact you if there are any unforeseen delays.

Our artists live in various places around Australia and New Zealand. You can find their location on the artwork page.

CAN YOU DELIVER TO A P.O. BOX?
We are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box. Please ensure that you specify a valid residential or business address during check out.
DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME FOR DELIVERY?
Yes. All artwork deliveries take place during business hours between Monday and Friday. It is necessary for someone to be available to accept the delivery. Our carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, placement, or removal of packaging.
CAN I RETURN AN ARTWORK IF I DON’T LIKE IT?
We offer a 7-day free returns policy on artworks if you change your mind. Within this period, you can return the artwork to us for an exchange or full refund. You must email us within 7 days of receiving your artwork stating that you wish you return the artwork and we will organise a return with the associated freight provider. We must receive the artwork back in the same condition you received it in order to receive a refund or exchange.
WHAT IF DAMAGE OCCURS DURING SHIPPING?
In the very rare case of damage occurring during artwork delivery, please contact us at website@artedit.com.au as soon as you can. If the work is returned to the artist within 7 days we can arrange a refund or, if it is one of a series, replace it.
