Description
Bronte Nude is part of a collection of 4 nudes I have carved as lino blocks. She was commisioned in the 2000’s to go with my first nude in the series Bondi Nude. Sydney Nude and Canberra Nude joined them. Bronte Nude is inspired by a reclining nude looking past the famous palm trees on the edge Bronte Beach Park, from one of the apartments. I hand print my lino blocks in my home studio. I print them in small batches and date and number them the year of creation. This one is number 29. This is an unconventional way of printmaking but is the way I have always printed. The last photo shows how Bondi and Bronte Nudes might look together on a wall.
