Closer inspection reveals a delicately rendered textural painting that is not brush strokes at all but textile; carefully woven threads made to resemble haphazard swipes of paint across the canvas in short bursts. To the viewer, the artwork remains intractably fixed within the realm of painting. Our conscience is unable to fully move away from the application of paint onto a flat surface, thus blurring the boundaries of what we call painting.
