This large format work would sit beautifully in a combined family, kitchen and living area. Bold in scale yet subtle tonally, the work is softened by its abstract form. It would perfectly suit a minimalist kitchen with a matte black finish that connects to a living space with walls in a pale citrus colour. Then add a large cut pile rug in a deeper shade of the walls, a grey modular sofa and mauve swivel tub chairs. Finally, accent with black metal side tables and lighting.
SUZANNE GORMAN
A larger piece, Noir Vert De Gris would work perfectly hanging above a fireplace in a large living room, acting as the room’s focal point. The palette is fresh and would beautifully complement a living room scheme with sheer, pale grey linen curtains, chalky white walls and timeless black steel French doors leading to the garden. The touches of tan bring warmth to the cooler palette and would be harmonious with Spotted Gum floors or a tan leather ottoman in the living space.

This abstract work by Dawn Lim plays with casual blocks of colour and tone, creating a balanced painting full of texture and depth. I especially adore the three casual stripes that allude to tension beyond! The painting is balanced, and the soft colours easy on the eye. This work would be well placed in a beach house with a view of the ocean, the golden colours in the work picking up on the golden Aussie sand.
