THE INCREDIBLE BEACHSCAPE ARTISTS YOU NEED TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION.
While artist Elaine Foulsham has always painted on large formats, she is currently working on The Little Beaches, a series of small contemporary beachscapes that explore light, colour and movement. Elaine captures the energy within a landscape, drawing out notions of solitude, isolation, tranquillity and harmony. When it comes to her process, the artist is guided by both knowledge and intuition. “At times I feel a certainty for what I wish to achieve before I begin,” she explains. “Other times I just let the image talk to me as it unfolds whilst I build up many layers.”
