The art practice of Noosa-based artist Louise Gregg is symbiotic with her lifestyle, the artist choosing to live off-grid in order to reduce her environmental impact. In her artmaking, this manifests itself in her use of upcycled and repurposed materials, removed from their context as waste and given new purpose as vectors of emotion and intuition. Working in textiles, sculpture, ceramics and installation, the artist embraces abstract forms which articulates line to great effect.
