Tony Wild is a Sydney-based abstract painter. He did a Masters of Art at UNSW’s College of Fine Arts where he won the Winsor & Newton Painting prize in 2013. Tony’s work is unstructured and informal abstraction that he describes as pure experimentation. According to Tony, “My work doesn’t have any specific intention. I’m not trying to make the viewer think about something or shock them in any way. Nor am I using it as a way to explore some obscure concept. It’s a painting. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t.” Tony works full-time as a Creative Director for an events agency, has a dog named Bam Bam, and paints in his spare time.
