Description
Through my fascination for the writings of P.G. Wodehouse, The Gentlemen was painted from an original catalogue of illustrated Edwardian men’s fashions (with the faces quietly replaced with my own – the artist’s prerogative!) This diptych was painted site specific for exhibition at a cigar lounge in Seoul, Korea in 2012, and as a reflection of the previous turn of the century, can be counted on to enhance any highbrow environment with aplomb.
