Description
This piece comes from a series where I’ve been working with pressed flowers, grasses, and weeds – spray painting them silver and photographing them on scratched dark surfaces.
I wanted the photographs to be flat and two-dimensional so the eye reads the repeated patterns and shapes with graphic clarity.
The black and white photography and silvery tones suggest wintery cold and icy surfaces- places where nature might struggle to struggle to flourish.
