Description
Piero (the gouty) is a photograph from my series titled The Lost Medici.
In the Rennaisance period the Medici family had a huge influence on art through their patronage and wealth.
I imagined that, rather than being preserved in a museum or private collection, some paintings had been lost, abandoned, or left open to the elements – with nature taking its course and altering or redefining the image over time into a different visual form.
