Mottlecah gum nuts – this is an original painting of the gum nuts of one of Western Australia’s beautiful native plants. The flowers are spectacular and the gum nuts architectural and stunning. This painting is from a day wondering around Kings Park in Perth where the plant was in full swing.
The natural beauty of the gum nuts led me to paint them on natural linen to bring out their beauty. This is acrylic on natural linen in a timber shadow frame, 51cm (w), 41cm (h) plus shadow frame 6cm deep.
