Description
Canberra Nude is the latest edition to my series of nudes and joins Bondi, Bronte and Sydney Nudes. All of my nudes are looking out a window onto a scene. With Canberra, I have incorporated collage from a local magazine with a Canberran image on it. This artwork was my first for 2022. I used a collage image of the Canberra fireworks (from an Our CBR flyer) that returned to Canberra after being cancelled for 2 years. It was time to celebrate, in a covid safe way. I print my lino blocks in small batches and number and date them the year of creation. She is number 4. This is an unconventional way of printmaking but the way I have always printed.
