Description
This work is limited edition print of Bluebloods (tableaux déviant no. 3), a drawing made by Natalie Mather during Melbourne’s stage 4 restrictions.
This series of drawings, named the tableaux déviants (a play on tableaux vivant) are contemporary re-imaginings of the Italian capriccio, where buildings and objects are patchworked together to create otherworldly realms. The drawings were made with pencils, fine liner pens, Copic markers on 300gsm paper using both mathematical tools and freehand drawing. The drawings mark a departure for Natalie, an abstract painter, and a new phase in her practice.
The print is a high quality, A3 print on cotton rag paper, signed and editioned by the artist.
